Regent Jazz
Regent Jazz aims to provide a venue for amateur and semi professional jazz musicians. It is a non profit making organisation and almost all of the door takings go to the musicians. A small amount is kept to pay for a licence from the Performing Rights Society and for publicity.
Regent Jazz is managed by a voluntary committee which consists of Andy Kirkland, Richard Everett, George Dunseth, John Telford and a member of the Sports and Social Club. The committee is responsible for drawing up the programme and inviting musicians to play.
Members of the Regent Sports and Social Club get a discount on the entry cost. A committee member is on the door at each gig.
